Ps. 91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shall thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways

I will keep everyone lifted up in prayer. Being a prayer warrior with the intercessory ministry l thank God for protecting my daughter that day. Every day at 4:45 pm my daughter She takes the very metro train that crashed in the back of the first train. She takes the train from Gallery Place to the Fort Totten station at 5:00 pm. She always sits in the first car. The day of the Metro train accident she said something - which we know was the Spirit of God speaking to her spirit -- said to stay at work a little longer, which she did. If my daughter had not listened to the Spirit of God she would have been on that train seated in the first car on the train that crashed and caused fatalities and injuries. We are so thankful to God for keeping her. We will keep all in prayer around the clock. God bless each and everyone of you. sister Martha H. and her daughter M.

Praise God!!! God was faithful in passing these students. They have learned that if they do their part (pray, study and attend classes) God will do the rest. We serve an AWESOME GOD. Thank you TIC Prayer Warriors."

Here was the Prayer Request:
Please lift up in prayer KC, GB, and MB. They are college students and are facing academic challenges in some of their classes – especially KC’s science class. They are Christians and are praying for God’s favor and faithfulness. They are victorious through Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 2:16 – For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

John 14:26 – But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Psalm 16:3 -- But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we come blessing your Name. We come boldly to the throne of grace, by the precious blood of Jesus. Thank you for the intimacy we enjoy with you. Thank you that we can come into your presence – the presence of our loving Father. We thank You, Lord, that mountains melt like wax in Your presence. We thank You, Lord, for securing our victory in every place!

We come interceding on behalf of 3 college students. Lord, they are new creations in Christ. They are Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. As a result, Your Word declares they have the mind of Christ and the wisdom of God is formed within them. II Cor. 5:17; Eph. 2:10; I Cor. 2:16. On the basis of the truth and strength of Your Word, we pray for these college students to prosper spiritually and academically. We pray, Father, that they will see themselves as the successes they are. We pray, Father, that they will see themselves as You see them – as overcomers, as achievers, as excellent ones. Let the mind of Christ and the wisdom of God operate within them, placing them in a zone of excellence that will cause them to have keen insight and understanding of their subjects, along with total and complete recall.

We banish the spirits of doubt, failure, and depression, in the mighty name of Jesus. We command them to go, in the name of Jesus! We apply the blood of Jesus over these college students. We pray the blood operates to cleanse their minds of negative thoughts, in Jesus’ mighty name.

Thank You, Lord, for securing their victory, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

I Give God Praise!
Over the past few years, the intercessors have prayed for Tyler Elementary School. We were among the first schools to receive bonuses for an increase in test scores. Through your prayers, the school has continued to progress.
I am very thankful for your prayers. We recently found out that Tyler School has reached it's maximum of 350 students for next school year. Plus, there is a waiting list of 530 additional students who would like to attend next year.
God is truly amazing!
Thank you Intercessors,

Hello Prayer Warriors:

Here is the update on a prayer request (repeated below) that went out on March 9. Praise the Lord!

My buyer’s loan has been approved and I will be going to settlement sometime next week!!!!!

I want to thank you once again for your prayers concerning my situation.

This was the March 9 prayer request:

My house has been "contracted" since November. I have been given 3 settlement dates that did not take place. I have been using a real estate agent all along. To make matters worse, on the last date given for settlement, Feb 8, my rental moving truck had just arrived when I got a phone call from my agent that the buyer’s loan did not go through.
Most of my belongings were sent ahead to SC in a borrowed trailer assuming that I would be there to unload them in my new house. The owners of the trailer sold the trailer and now (I pray) my stuff is sitting in their garage. I lost my "new" house because the seller was tired of waiting for closing. I owe the lawyers down there for their time and trouble. I must pay for water hook-up and electric and I have put out money for a home inspection. I retired from my job (because Bank of America and my real estate agent told me that the loan was going through) and now I have very little income to keep me afloat. These people are now trying to get a loan from another bank. I desperately need prayer that all this mess will turn out in my favor. I am stressed out but I am still holding onto the Lord that He will turn this to my good.
Thank you for your prayers,

Ps. 18:37-40 - I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and I did not turn back until they were consumed. I shattered them, so that they were not able to rise; they fell under my feet. For You have girded me with strength for battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

Isa. 42:13 - The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies.

Isa. 54:17 - No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,' declares the LORD.

I John 4:4 - You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

Zec. 9:11-12 - As for you also, because of the blood of My covenant with you, I have set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold, O prisoners who have the hope; this very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you boldly, grateful that you have already orchestrated C’s breakthrough! Thank You that You always cause us to triumph in You! We place her petition before You, and we ask Father, for You to supernaturally intercede on her behalf. We acknowledge that no weapon formed against C will prosper, and we condemn any and every tongue to the contrary. We command every hindering spirit to be bound and cast out of this situation, in Jesus’ mighty name! As You rose up in mount Perazim, Lord, and were declared the Lord who bursts forth and breaks through (2 Samuel 5), we ask You, Lord to burst forth and break through on C’s behalf. We pray for the swift sale of her home, in Jesus’ mighty name. We pray, Lord, that you would restore double to C. We pray that You place her in a better house – beyond her expectations, in Jesus mighty name! What the enemy had planned for her downfall, Father, burst through and turn it around for her rejoicing, and for YOUR GLORY! Thank, You, Father. We give You praise. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I apologize for the delay of my testimony. My doctor requested that I have my blood and calcium checked every three months for Sarcoidosis. I went to the doctor on Monday 11/9 for the blood and calcium work. Saturday 11/14 I attended the seminar and I came down for prayer for healing in my body. I received a phone call from my doctor's nurse the Thursday following the seminar (11/19) before attending bible study. She said that my blood level and my calcium level was normal! I thank God for His Mighty Hand moving on my behalf and I give all the glory and praise to His Holy Name and I will continue to thank Him daily for healing my body.
God Bless You Sister Janice

Dear Sister Janice:
I have a wonderful testimony to share with you. I had you pray for my son over 7 years ago because he was not talking and I was concerned that he may have had developmental challenges because he was three. You prayed for him at one of the seminars. He is now 10 years old. He still does not talk a lot in public, but he does talk a lot at home. I did not realize it until I shared this news with someone else and she said, "You mean your son that wasn't talking?" Then, I knew that I had to tell you that my 10 year old son scored a 506 on the Maryland standard assessment in math (which is way beyond the average for the school, the county or the state) and he has now been placed in Pre-Algebra. The same child who I thought several years ago had a developmental disability. God went above and beyond! He not only corrected his speech, but He blessed him with knowledge above his years!

Dear Reverend Janice Davis Steele:

I wanted to share with your readers my own personal testimony regarding the divine healing powers of God with the hope that it might encourage others who are struggling with health issues. Starting in late February 2009, I experienced a sudden onslaught of frightening symptoms that had never surfaced before: chest pain; intense pain radiating down my right arm; and shortness of breath that was so severe that I found myself collapsing when I attempted to walk up a small flight of steps. When I experienced these symptoms during a subsequent cardiac stress test, the test was halted, and I underwent an emergency heart catheterization. Although the heart catheterization revealed no evidence of a heart attack, the procedure itself was painful and caused collateral damage. As a result of the heart catheterization, my femoral artery became totally occluded, leaving me with excruciating leg pain and a cold, numb, tingly foot. I then had to undergo an emergency thrombectomy to avoid losing my leg or my life. To make matters worse, the severe pain and general malaise that I felt after the surgery were exacerbated by cellulitis that I contracted in my leg during my hospital stay.

Most importantly, I still did not have a diagnosis for the original symptoms that led me to seek medical attention in the first instance. After the hospital ordered a chest CT scan, I was informed that I had enlarged, morphologically abnormal chest lymph nodes in the mediastinum, hilar regions, and axilla which suggested that I could have lymphoma, or a primary cancer in the body that had metastasized, or reactive sarcoidosis. I was informed that I should follow-up with my primary care physician and a pulmonary specialist and undergo a series of primary cancer screening tests, including an endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Two pulmonary specialists recommended that I undergo thoracic surgery so that my lymph nodes could be biopsied and properly evaluated. I was warned, however, that the surgery carried the risks of infection, collapsed lungs or death, and that I would be left with a visible, disfiguring scar. Indeed, one of the pulmonary specialists advised me that, while the threat of lymphoma certainly militated in favor of thoracic surgery, a physician colleague who underwent such surgery did not survive the procedure. These prospects left me bewildered and frightened, particularly since the earlier and purportedly “low risk” heart catheterization had spawned disturbing results.

After I was released from the hospital I was extremely weak and in pain. Pastor Turkson visited me, prayed with me, and shared his book on the healing powers of God which greatly comforted me. And others prayed on my behalf.

I sought out a third opinion from yet another pulmonary specialist and continued to undergo a variety of cancer screening tests. The third pulmonary specialist agreed that thoracic surgery would be the definitive test. However, noting that my body was still weak and battered, he recommended that I wait three months so that my body could recover and then undergo another chest CT scan at the same hospital to determine the progression of the lymph nodes. He explained that if I had lymphoma: (1) an unchanged chest CT scan would at least signal that the disease had not metastasized further; and (2) a scan showing increased abnormalities in the lymph nodes could indicate metastatic disease. He also informed me that, even if I elected not to undergo thoracic surgery at that time, I should continue to undergo regular CT scans to monitor the status of the lymph nodes.

On June 26, 2009, I went to the hospital for a CT scan of the chest, pelvis and abdomen. When I went to the doctor on July 15 to obtain the results, I was frustrated and upset to learn that the hospital had scanned my pelvis and abdomen, but failed to scan the chest -- the most important test that I needed. On Thursday, July 16, I called the hospital to obtain an appointment for another chest CT scan. Remarkably, the same imaging receptionist who had checked me in for the prior scan, stated that she distinctly remembered me, and that she simply could not understand how the hospital made such an error, particularly since she personally entered the data instructing the department that a scan should be made of the chest, pelvis and abdomen.

While on the phone, the receptionist checked the database and discovered that, inexplicably, an unidentified person had cancelled my prior chest CT scan. The receptionist informed me that, unfortunately, no appointments were available on Friday or during the following work week or anytime soon thereafter, but that she could arrange for another scan on Saturday, July 18. I confirmed the Saturday appointment.

A few hours thereafter, my dear friend Harriett Elder called to encourage me to attend your Breakthrough Prayer Seminar on July 18. I told Harriett that the Saturday seminar conflicted with my scheduled CT scan at the hospital, and that no other appointments were available in the near term. Notably, Harriett gently, but firmly, urged me to attend the seminar so that I could receive prayer and the laying on of hands before the CT scan.

Quite frankly, I was torn. I wanted to attend the seminar; but, I also knew that I would be anxious and troubled if I had to wait an unacceptably long time for another appointment. However, mindful of Harriett’s admonition, I called the hospital once again and asked whether it was possible to reschedule my Saturday appointment for the following week. Astonishingly, the hospital reset my appointment for Monday, July 20, and I was able to attend your seminar.

The Breakthrough Prayer Seminar was nothing short of extraordinary. I could feel the spirit of the Lord in the Church. And I was deeply moved by your message of the sovereign openings that God makes available to believers who exercise prayer-filled faith. I joined the throng for prayer and the laying on of hands. I had my CT chest scan on July 20. And then I waited.

On August 3, I went to my pulmonary doctor with the CD that I obtained from the hospital of my first and second chest CT scans, along with a written report from the radiologist. I cried and thanked God when I read the second written report which states: “Previously noted mediastinal and hilar lymphadenopathy has resolved. On the current scan, no enlarged or morphologically abnormal lymph nodes are seen anywhere in the chest, including the mediastinum, hilar regions, or axilla.”

The pulmonary specialist was dumbfounded when he examined and compared the two chest scans to confirm the findings of the hospital radiologist. Shaking his head, the pulmonary specialist said that he could not explain how or why the abnormalities had vanished. Congratulating me, he said that I needed no pulmonary follow-up and added, “just think, you’ve got a completely unremarkable chest CT now, and you didn’t have to have your chest cracked open.”

Although the doctor did not know why the enlarged and morphologically abnormal lymph nodes had suddenly disappeared, I do. I know that God is real, and that He performs miracles. I know that a host of angels on earth prayed on my behalf. And I know that the sequence of events -- the first abnormal chest scan, the mysterious initial cancellation of my second scheduled chest scan, the subsequent confirmed Saturday hospital appointment, the call from Harriett urging me to attend your seminar before my next scan, the sudden availability of a timely hospital appointment rendering it possible for me to do so, and the second normal scan -- was not coincidental, but rather providential.

I thank God for his mercy, goodness, and faithfulness and for healing my body. I thank Pastor Turkson, my family and friends for their prayers. I thank Harriett for prodding me to attend your seminar. And I thank God for using you, my dear sister, as an instrument to bring a breakthrough in my life.
